At NHHSA West, our concentration is on fundamental academics, plain and simple. Our director, Arthur Boyer, rejects educational fads and fashions and emphasizes the importance of reading, mathematics, and writing. We aim to patch up knowledge gaps and refine the basic academic skills students need to be prepared for college, vocational training, or life itself. We work hard to provide customizable programs that best suit the needs of our students, most of whom study on home-based schedules and come in for tutoring. On-site study, five days a week (between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM) is also available, for all grade levels. In addition to our hybrid and on-site schedules, we also offer 100% remote learning services (one of our students is currently studying, quite successfully, at home in Switzerland). You never have to come in, only collaborate online with our director and staff.
We believe a proper education should serve the priorities, needs, and natural interests of our students, rather than force them to conform to the prerequisites of a rigid curriculum. NHHSA West offers flexibility to our students while simultaneously enforcing high standards of academic achievement. Given this newfound freedom to pursue individual goals, we believe our students are better suited to adapt to higher standards. And that is precisely what we expect of them.
